Monica, one of our teachers at Hald, came to visit us in early December. We took a weekend trip to Shanghai, enjoying being tourists, but still understanding just a little bit more than many other tourists.

I'm happy I'm not an electrician in China - all the wires are tangled up. And.., there's a lot of them!

The Shanghai TV Tower at The Bund.

There's a tunnel going from the end of Nanjing Road to The Bund. It's quite special, so step onboard and..;

.., enjoy the disco light tunnel!

Shanghai has a mixture of old and new buildings. Just another example of Chinese diversity!

Nanjing Road is the main shopping street in Shanghai. It's almost everything you can imagine when thinking "Asia" and "shopping"

Mathilde - my team mate of another world!

I want this, but I have no idea where I would have room for it.. I found it on the side of a building by Nanjing Road. Maybe just let it stay there.

There's annoyingly many people trying to sell you stuff on Nanjing Road. I'm trying to hide from them, using my hat as a cover.

The best team ever visiting Nanjing Road.

There's differing standards to be found in Shanghai.

We didn't ever really clearify what this area was. It's called 'the Spice Market', so we expected a spice market. In the end we decided it would have had to have been a spice market many years ago. Now, on the other hand, it seems to be an upper class tourist area.
Someone needs to see this!
